The Improvisatory Ensemble: Jazz Combo is a chamber group focusing on small group jazz repertoire and improvisation. Rehearsals include demonstrations of practical exercises to develop an idiomatic jazz vocabulary, discussion of applicable jazz history, exercises in jazz arranging, and development of repertoire. The group has performed around Riverside as well as in Ensenada, Mexico for the city's 133rd anniversary.
