How to Write an Undergraduate Grant Proposal
by Veronique Rorive
Director of Educational Initiatives – Undergraduate Education, UC Riverside
Workshop for undergraduate students and faculty mentors
The subject of this presentation is proposal writing. What do you need to consider when writing a proposal? What institutional regulations need to be followed? What are the elements of proposal writing, including budget and justification? What resources exist to assist?
The recommended process that I will present is not a formula to be rigidly adhered to but rather a suggested approach that can be adapted to fit your needs and the requirement(s) of the potential foundation or donor. You must bring your own creativity to it and remain flexible.
