Oboist Lisa Geering Tomoff has been a member of the Pasadena Symphony Orchestra directed by Maestro Jorge Mester since 2002. She performs regularly with the Redlands and San Bernardino symphony orchestras and in various ensembles around the greater Los Angeles area.
In Chicago, Ms. Geering Tomoff previously served as Marketing Manager on the administration of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra while playing in the University of Chicago Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestra Barbara Schubert. She also taught oboe privately and directed the Professional Concert Series at the University of Chicago.
Ms. Geering Tomoff holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Indiana University School of Music, where she studied with Marc Lifschey and Jerry Sirucek. Her other teachers include Robert Morgan, Dan Stolper, and John Mack. Ms. Geering Tomoff has taught oboe at UCR since 2004.
